An old breadboard destined for the scrap pile called out to me for a refit! It resides at the Backeddy Resort and Marina in the Pub.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Here is some food for thought
Some nourishment for the soul!
I was a lowly cutting board,
I helped prepare your food
My cuts are superficial ,
But I was told I was no good.
From the warmth of the kitchen,
From the heart of this place,
I was tossed out in the cold,
I was gone with out a trace.
I thought my life was over.
I had met with my demise
But then I caught an artist's eye!
Who thought it was unwise.
She could not leave me lying there
She saw so much in me,
She new that I belonged here,
And this is where I should be!
And so now I live on again,
A new place carved out for me,
From the warmth of the kitchen
To the hearth with all of thee,
No longer just a cutting board,
My life has been transformed
I am a work of art now,
My life has been reformed!
